Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use OrderEnough, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.
You can use the calculators without an account and without allowing Analytics. Review your browser’s saved choices on the cookie preferences page.
1. Who we are
The controller of your personal data is OrderEnough ("we", "us"), established in Netherlands. You can reach us at contact@orderenough.com or through our contact page.
2. The short version
- Calculations run in your browser. Input values are also included in the result URL, so reopening or sharing that URL sends them as part of a page request. We exclude those values from our Analytics events.
- We do not require an account and we do not ask for personal data to use the site.
- Analytics loads only after you allow it. The Google AdSense connection script can load separately, with advertising consent defaults set to denied. You can review your choices on the cookie page.
- We do not sell your personal data.
3. What we collect
Calculator inputs
Calculator arithmetic runs locally in your browser using JavaScript. The page updates its URL with the input values so that a result can be reopened or shared. Updating the address itself does not request a new page, but reloading, bookmarking and later opening, or sharing that address can disclose those values in the URL to the hosting provider or the person you share it with. Do not enter personal or confidential information into calculator fields.
Our Analytics events exclude calculator measurements and query strings. Your unit preference (metric or imperial) and theme choice are stored in your browser's local storage.
Server logs
Our hosting provider processes technical request information to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, time, requested URL, browser information and response status. A requested URL may include calculator values if you open a saved or shared result. Log availability and retention depend on the hosting service and its settings.
Analytics
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are used and how people find them. It can set cookies and process browser identifiers and interaction events, including whether buying guidance is seen or opened and which labelled affiliate tool and store link is selected. A store-link click does not tell us whether you bought a product. We do not use Analytics data to identify individuals. The information is managed in Google Analytics under the property’s retention settings.
If you do not consent to analytics, no analytics cookies are set. The Analytics tag does not load until you allow analytics. We do not send calculator inputs or shared-result query strings to Analytics.
Advertising
The website includes Google AdSense connection code. Loading that script connects your browser to Google, which can receive technical information such as your IP address, browser information and page URL. A saved result URL can contain calculator values. Advertising storage and personalisation signals default to denied before the script loads.
The site currently uses a built-in preference panel while AdSense is being reviewed. It is not a vendor-level advertising consent platform. Our page code has no configured manual ad units; allowing Analytics does not authorise personalised ads.
Declining personalisation does not mean that all advertising is cookie-free. For information about Google’s processing, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Amazon affiliate links
Some pages contain clearly labelled product links to Amazon.com and searches for alternative tools on Amazon.nl. These are ordinary outbound links containing the Associates tracking ID for the selected store. Search terms describe the tool type and do not contain your calculator inputs. Opening an OrderEnough page does not load an Amazon advertising script, product image or affiliate cookie from those links.
If you choose to follow a link, your browser connects to Amazon. Amazon can receive information such as your IP address, browser information, referring site and our tracking ID, and may use cookies to attribute qualifying purchases. Our calculator inputs are not included in the link. Amazon handles activity on its store under its own privacy notice (Amazon.com or Amazon.nl) and cookie choices.
Messages you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message so we can answer you. The current contact form opens a prepared message in your email app; it does not send until you choose to send that email. Correspondence is handled through our email service. Contact us if you want to ask about a message we hold or request its deletion.
4. Who your data is shared with
We share personal data only with the service providers needed to run the site:

Service providers may process information in other countries. Google explains its processing and international transfers in its privacy policy linked above. You can contact us with questions about the services used for a particular request.
5. Cookies
Our cookie information page gives an overview of browser storage, example cookies and links to provider information. You can review or change your site preferences there at any time; actual cookies and expiry depend on the services, settings and browser.
6. How long we keep things
- Hosting request records: retention depends on the hosting service and its settings.
- Analytics data: retained according to the Google Analytics property settings; browser-cookie expiry is separate from event-data retention.
- Advertising identifiers: duration varies by Google cookie, account settings and browser controls. See the cookie information page.
- Your consent record: the built-in panel treats a choice as expired after 365 days and asks again. Clearing browser storage removes it sooner.
- Email correspondence: retained in the email service used to respond to you. Contact us to ask about or request deletion of a specific message.
- Calculator inputs: no separate calculator-results database; shared or reopened result URLs can appear in page-request records.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR and equivalent laws you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
To exercise any of these, email contact@orderenough.com. We will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to your national data protection authority: in Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
8. Children
This site is aimed at adults doing building and decorating work. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Calculator arithmetic runs in the browser, and there is no account or separate saved-results database. Hosting, Analytics and email services still process the information described above.
10. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our processing changes and will change the date below. Material changes that require consent will be handled through the consent dialog rather than quietly.
